ISTANBUL (AA) - Bayern Munich took a giant leap forward to Bundesliga title on Saturday, defeating Red Bull Leipzig 1-0.
In minute 38, Leon Goretzka scored for the Bavarians at Leipzig's Red Bull Arena.
Having 64 points, Bayern Munich remained at top of the German top-tier football league's standings.
Red Bull Leipzig, on the other hand, stayed at second place with 57 points, but massively hurt losing to reigning champions Bayern Munich.
In another Saturday game, Borussia Dortmund lost to Eintracht Frankfurt with a 2-1 score at home.
Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schulz scored an own goal in the 11th minute at Signal Iduna Park.
The home side leveled the game with the defender Mats Hummels' goal in the 45th minute.
Eintracht Frankfurt's Portuguese forward Andre Silva netted the winner in the 87th minute.
The game ended 2-1.
With this win, Eintracht Frankfurt remained in fourth place with 50 points.
