ANKARA (AA) - Turkish football club Fenerbahce has signed Ghanaian footballer Andre Ayew on a season-long loan, said a written statement from the club on Friday.
According to the statement, Ayew signed a one-year loan with Fenerbahce at Ulker Stadium in Istanbul.
Speaking after the ceremony, Fenerbahce Sporting Director Damien Comolli said: "We signed a one-year contract with Andre Ayew with a buying option on the player. We're strengthening our offense line."
After a year, the club could sign a full contract with Ayew, he explained.
For his part, Ayew said: "My only wish is to make Fenerbahce become league champions."
Since February, Ayew, 28, has played for Swansea City AFC, where he only produced three assists in 12 English Premier League appearances.
