ANKARA (AA) - Istanbul-based football heavyweights Fenerbahce signed Kosovar forward Vedat Muriqi on Sunday.
The club said on its website that Muriqi, 25, will be a Fenerbahce player for four years.
Muriqi was previously playing for the another club of Turkey's top football league, Caykur Rizespor.
Last season, Muriqi scored 17 goals in 34 league matches for his previous club.
This summer, many Turkish clubs were chasing him upon his league performance as Galatasaray were interested in to purchase Muriqi but archrivals Fenerbahce completed this transfer on Sunday.
Muriqi plays for Kosovo national football team. However, he has a Turkish citizenship.
