ANKARA (AA) - Brazilian football club Flamengo went into the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup final after beating Al-Hilal Riyadh from Saudi Arabia 3-1 in semifinals late Tuesday.
Al-Hilal winger Salem Aldawsari scored the opener for the Saudi team in the 18th minute.
But Flamengo equalized in the 49th minute when Uruguayan midfielder Giorgian De Arrascaeta put the ball into Al-Hilal net.
Flamengo came back in the 78th minute of the semifinal as Brazilian winger Bruno Henrique netted against Al-Hilal.
The Brazilians clinched the 3-1 victory near the end of the match as Al-Hilal defender Ali Albulayhi scored an own goal.
In the 83rd minute, Al-Hilal were down to 10 men as their Peruvian star Andre Carrillo was sent off after a foul.
Tuesday's victors, Flamengo will face English giants Liverpool or Mexican club Monterrey in Saturday's final in Doha's Khalifa International Stadium as this year Qatar is the host nation.
Liverpool will play against Monterrey in Wednesday's semifinal, which will kick off at 8.30 p.m. local time (1730GMT).
The tournament was founded in 2000 and is organized by football's global governing body. The winners of six continental confederations as well as the league champion of the host nation take part in the FIFA Club World Cup.
