ANKARA (AA) - France's Monaco announced Wednesday the signing of Algerian international Islam Slimani on a season-long loan from the English club Leicester City.
Monaco also hold an option to buy Slimani from the English Premier League club, the French club said on Twitter.
The 31-year-old forward joined Leicester City in 2016 from the Portuguese club Sporting CP, and he is under contract at the English club until June 2021.
Slimani previously played for Algerian clubs JSM Cheraga and CR Belouizdad, England's Newcastle United and the Turkish club Fenerbahce.
He also was a part of the Algeria squad when his nation defeated Senegal in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final in Egypt.
