ISTANBUL (AA) - Real Madrid lost to Valencia 4-1 on Sunday in an away game in Spanish La Liga.
The visiting team took the lead with Karim Benzema scoring in the 23rd minute at Valencia's Mestalla stadium.
But Valencia leveled the game with Carlos Soler's penalty goal in the 35th minute. The home side led the first half after Raphael Varane scored an own goal in the 45th minute.
Soler scored another two penalty goals in the 54th and 63rd minutes and the game ended 4-1 in Valencia.
Real Madrid had a second defeat and they slipped to the fourth place with 16 points.
Valencia moved to the ninth spot with 11 points.
