ISTANBUL (AA) - After the latest games in the top five European football leagues over the weekend, Liverpool, Athletic Bilbao, Leipzig, Inter, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are in the top positions in their respective leagues.
In the English Premier League, the leader Liverpool defeated Chelsea 2-1 to win the first six matches of the season in a row.
Reigning champions Manchester City also stunned Watford 8-0 to reach 13 points, following Liverpool with 18 points.
In the Spanish La Liga, Athletic Bilbao beat Alaves 2-0 and moved to the top spot after Sevilla were defeated by Real Madrid 1-0.
Granada also defeated reigning champs Barcelona 2-0.
The leader Athletic Bilbao with 11 points were followed by Real Madrid sharing the same points. Granada, Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid tailed them with 10 points each.
In Germany's Bundesliga, the leader RB Leipzig stunned Werder Bremen 3-0 while reigning champs Bayern Munich defeated Koln 4-0.
Borussia Dortmund drew Eintracht Frankfurt 2-2.
The leader Leipzig having bagged 13 points were followed by Bayern Munich with 11 points and Borussia Dortmund, Freiburg, Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen with 10 points each.
In Italy's Serie A, the leader Inter beat Milan 2-0 in a derby match to win four matches in a row.
The last eight year’s champions Juventus beat Hellas Verona 2-1 while Napoli defeated Lecce 4-1.
Inter topped the league with 12 points. They were followed by Juventus with 10 points and Napoli with 9 points.
In the French Ligue 1, the reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain beat Olympique Lyon 1-0 in an away match.
Angers beat Saint-Etienne 4-1 while Nice defeated Dijon 2-1.
The PSG topped the league with 15 points, followed by Nice and Angers with 12 points each.
