ERZINCAN, Turkey (AA) – Twenty-six foreign students from eight countries studying at the Medicine Faculty of Turkey’s eastern Erzincan Binali Yildirim University (EBYU) expressed happiness with studying in Turkey.
The university is one of the preferred educational institutions for international students in Turkey.
Foreign students, who have chosen the medical faculty of the university, are also pleased to choose Turkey because “they study in good facilities.”
The faculty trains students from Azerbaijan, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq and Yemen as doctors equipped with the latest technological devices under the guidance of experienced academicians.
- Turkey's ambassador of hearts
The dean of the EBYU Faculty of Medicine Mecit Kantarci told Anadolu Agency that foreign students will become Turkey's ambassadors of hearts by taking the education, experience and humanitarian values they gain in Turkey to their countries.
The reasons why foreign students prefer EBYU Medical School is because of the "scientific program, course programs that we are currently implementing are integrated with the world and have been successfully prepared, a program that follows our days, is constantly being updated,” said Kantarci.
He said foreign students follow the university on the internet and prefer to study here.:
“They prefer us because they think that they will get their education as close to the optimal as possible due to all the features such as a medical school, laboratories, experiments, anatomy laboratories, model laboratories,” he said.
He noted that many students from Turkish republics come for short-term studies.
Kantarci also said there are advantages to having a large number of English-speaking faculty members.
- Realizing dreams in Turkey
Ghazal Shahnazian, a first-year student from Iran, said he entered the top 6,000 in an exam in his country.
Stating that he also took the exam in Turkey and won the EBYU Faculty of Medicine, Shahnazian said: "My childhood dream was to study at the faculty of medicine. That's why I ran after my dream, and now I'm very happy.”
“I will realize my dreams in Turkey. It was difficult to be alone in the early days, but now I am meeting with my family, they are coming to Erzincan, and I am going to Iran," he added.
Sudanese Ala Muhammet Yusuf expressed his preference for Erzincan because he liked the education system in Turkey.
"The people here, the education system and the instructors are very good. After completing the training, I will go to Sudan, because the people there are in need of a doctor. In Africa, people sometimes can't find a doctor, so I'll go there,” he said.
Cennet Coskun, a German whose parents are Turkish, noted that she was happy to realize her dream of studying at the faculty of medicine.
"I want to complete my medical education here because Turkey's medical education is better. Erzincan is also a very beautiful place, I like to study here," she said.
