ANKARA (AA) - Former Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar suffered from cerebral hemorrhage, the Dutch club announced on Friday.
Former legendary goalkeeper is currently in intensive care and his condition is stable, the statement added.
Edwin van der Sar stepped down as CEO in May to get some rest.
The Dutch football legend, who has 130 caps as an international, had been part of Ajax's Board of Directors since November 2012, until his resignation.
He faced criticism after Ajax recorded their worst Dutch league Eredivisie finish since 2009 during the 2022-23 season.
