ANKARA (AA) – Bayern Munich confirmed the signing of young French defender Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi from Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Kouassi has inked a four-year contract with the German champions.
“The 18-year-old French youth international joins from Paris Saint-Germain on a contract valid until 30 June 2024. Although his primary position is center-back, he can play in multiple positions across the defense,” the club said in a statement.
“I’m very happy to be able to play for FC Bayern. It’s a big club, rich in tradition. I really hope I’ll be able to establish myself here and play a lot of matches. For that I’ll work hard,” Kouassi said.
The defender started his senior career at Paris Saint-Germain in December last year and made six appearances in Ligue 1 before games were halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
