PARIS (AA) - Lawmakers from French opposition parties have reiterated their call in parliament for a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
Mathilde Panot, a lawmaker for La France Insoumise, hosted Palestinian Ambassador to Paris Hala Abou Hassira in the lower house of French parliament amid relentless attacks on the besieged enclave.
"I assure you and the Palestinian people of the full solidarity of my parliamentary group," she said on X, referring to the ambassador.
In her post on X, Abou Hassira said that along with La France Insoumise, The Greens and French Communist Party called for a cease-fire in parliament.
The ambassador thanked the MPs for their solidarity and stance to save innocent lives.
She also shared a photo of her along with the MPs while holding a sign, which read: "End the massacre in Gaza and the West Bank. Immediate cease-fire."
