ISTANBUL (AA) - French football star Kylian Mbappe replaced his teammate Lionel Messi as the youngest player with 40 UEFA Champions League goals.
Paris Saint-Germain tasted a 2-1 away victory over Juventus at Turin's Juventus Stadium on Wednesday.
Mbappe broke the deadlock with a classy-long range finish in the 13th minute and became the youngest player to score 40 goals.
With this goal, the French forward surpassed Argentine superstar Messi. Mbappe was 23 years and 316 days old when he reached this milestone.
The record had previously been set by Messi at 24 years 130 days.
With 14 points, Paris Saint-Germain finished second in Group H behind Benfica, which is ahead with a goal difference.
