ANKARA (AA) - Galatasaray are in dismayed over the knee injury of Brazilian defender Marcao Teixeira.
The Turkish football heavyweight said on its website on Thursday that the first team regular Marcao sustained a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury during Wednesday's training session.
The medical scans showed that Marcao had a grade two MCL damage. He is currently under treatment for his injury.
Marcao, 23, joined Galatasaray in 2019 to win the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup title last season.
This season he had 34 appearances.
