Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both have kept their Trendyol Super Lig title run in the 2023-24 season, well ahead of their rivals.
In week 26, the Lions beat Ankaragucu 3-0 Sunday to reach 69 points in the standings, while the Yellow Canaries won against Rizespor 3-1 Saturday to follow the leaders two points behind.
After this match, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk became the fastest manager to reach 50 wins with a single team in Super Lig.
Fenerbahce, on the other hand, have won 12 of 13 away games they have played this season, only one ended with a goalless draw.
The arch-rivals, both having lost only once this season, are at least 23 points ahead of other Super Lig clubs, as third-placed Trabzonspor has 43 points.
Galatasaray will face Besiktas in the Istanbul derby on March 3, while Fenerbahce will take on Trabzonspor on March 17.
The arch-rivals will face each other on May 12, in the week 37 game.
