ANKARA (AA) – Galatasaray maintained their six-point edge in the Turkish Super Lig title race after defeating Karagumruk 3-2 on Sunday.
Despite falling behind early in the match, the Lions managed to come back and secured victory at away with a late goal from midfielder Berkan Kutlu in the 90th minute.
Their archrivals Fenerbahce beat Kayserispor 3-0 on the same day to continue to trail them six points behind.
With two weeks left in the fixture, Galatasaray top the league standings with 99 points, followed by Fenerbahce with 93 points.
The two rivals will face each other next week in the Istanbul derby at Rams Park Stadium and Galatasaray will be crowned champions if unbeaten.
