ISTANBUL (AA) - Gazans began sharing their wills online Friday after Israeli media claimed a land operation would be launched against the illegally blockaded Gaza Strip.

They asked for forgiveness from those they wronged in their post, in case something happened to them, and said that they did not write the messages because they were afraid.

“Whoever has rights or claims on me, forgive me. I have forgiven you, so please forgive me,” wrote Ihab R. Sulaiman, in his a Facebook post.

Some did not post anything new after sharing their wills.

Israeli security forces were preparing to enter the Gaza Strip by land, but were awaiting approval at the political level, according to a report by Israel's Channel 14 television.

“If the land operation is approved, Israeli forces are ready to stay there (in Gaza) for a few more months," it said. "The army's clear goal at this stage is to disarm the Gaza Strip.”

Israeli authorities have not yet made a statement regarding the report.

But the Israeli Army noted that the Air Force dropped 6,000 bombs on areas used by the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements and carried out large-scale air strikes in Gaza.

Hamas's armed wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel early Oct. 7, called “Aqsa Flood.”

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanun-Erez Border Gate on the Gaza-Israel border. Armed groups then entered settlements within Israel from here and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of warplanes.

It was reported that 1,300 Israelis were killed and 3,300 injured in attacks carried out from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said 1,537 residents, including 500 children and 276 women, were killed and 6,612 injured in Gaza during Israeli attacks.

It was reported that 31 Palestinians died and 180 people were injured in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers in the West Bank.
