ANKARA (AA) — German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Saturday underlined the strong social bonds between his country and Türkiye, reinforcing the partnership between the two nations.
"There are strong social ties between Germany and Türkiye," Scholz said on X in Turkish after visiting Türkiye for talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"Türkiye is an important political actor. Although we may not agree on every issue, it is important to engage in intense discussions regarding international disputes," Scholz noted.
"Solutions are only possible in this way," he stressed.
