ANKARA (AA) – Germany's economic sentiment slightly increased from a month ago in September, although the assessment of the economic situation hit the three-year low, according to data released on Tuesday.
The Leibniz Center for European Economic Research's (ZEW) indicator of economic sentiment for Germany rose to minus 11.4 points in September, up 0.9 points from August.
In contrast, the index of current conditions in Germany continued to decline sharply by 8.1 points, hitting a three-year low of 79.4 points.
The ZEW indicator of economic sentiment for the eurozone fell 8.9 points month-on-month to minus 8.9 in September.
The situation indicator for the eurozone also decreased slightly, falling 0.6 points to a new reading of minus 42.6 points, said the ZEW.
