ISTANBUL (AA) - Germany's industrial production decreased for the 11th consecutive month on a yearly basis, down 3.9% in April, federal statistical office Destatis revealed on Friday.
The industrial production in the country has been decreasing since August 2023 on a yearly basis.
On a monthly basis, production also dropped by 0.1% compared to March.
In April, the production in construction dropped by 2.1% from March 2024. By contrast, the automotive industry had a clearly positive impact, with production increasing by 4.2%, on a monthly basis.
Production in industry excluding energy and construction was up 0.2% from March to April.
