ANKARA (AA) - German Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich beat Werder Bremen 2-1 on Saturday to move four points clear at the top of the league.
Bayern Munich's German star Serge Gnabry scored the opener in the 62nd minute at Bremen's Weserstadion. Leroy Sane doubled the lead for the visitors 10 minutes later.
Werder Bremen midfielder Niklas Schmidt scored on a long-range effort near the end of the match for a consolation goal.
Bayern Munich have 65 points in 31 Bundesliga matches after having played one game more than second-place Borussia Dortmund, who have 61 points.
Title contenders Borussia Dortmund will host Wolfsburg on Sunday.
Third-place RB Leipzig have 57 points in the league table.
Mid-table Werder Bremen have 35 points after the home loss.
The 2022-23 Bundesliga will end May 27 after match week 34.
