Producer prices in Germany dropped 2.2% annually in May, marking the slowest clip since last June, the country's statistical bureau announced on Thursday.
The figure eased from a decrease of 3.3% in April, Destatis data showed.
Lower energy costs, which were down 6.4% year-on-year, drove the eleventh straight month of decline.
Natural gas and electricity prices dove 16.3% and 11.3%, respectively, compared to a year ago.
On a monthly basis, producer prices remained unchanged in May.
