ANKARA (AA) - Turkish football club Antalyaspor's German star Lukas Podolski will not be able to play for at least three weeks due to a torn muscle, the club said on Monday.
In a statement, Fraport TAV Antalyaspor said that Podolski, who underwent medical tests, suffered a "Grade 2C muscle tear in his right thigh."
This season the 35-year-old player scored two goals in nine Turkish Super Lig matches for Antalyaspor.
Podolski previously played for German clubs Koln and Bayern Munich, English team Arsenal, Italy's Inter Milan, Turkish club Galatasaray and Japan's Vissel Kobe.
He won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with the German national team.
