BERLIN (AA) – Germany has delivered two Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, authorities confirmed on Thursday.

According to a document published on the government's website, Germany completed the shipment of two Patriot launchers.

They were promised to Ukraine during the NATO summit in Lithuania in July.

The German government's updated list of aid also included 10 more all-terrain vehicles, four reconnaissance drones, 100 MG5 machine guns, and around 6,500 rounds of 155mm smoke ammunition.

Germany increased its military support to Ukraine following pressure from the US and other allies, and it is currently the second-largest supplier of weapons to the country.

In recent months, Berlin supplied weapons and equipment worth billions of dollars, including battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and air defense systems.
