ANKARA (AA) - Germany's producer prices slowed to a nine-month low in November, according to official figures released Tuesday.

The annual producer inflation in Germany slipped to 28.2% in November, down from 34.5% in October, said the federal statistical bureau Destatis.

Energy continued to be the greatest contributor of the year-on-year rise in prices. Energy prices surged 65.7% from a year ago in November, easing from a 85.6% hike in October.

"Moreover, prices also rose significantly for non-durable consumer goods, intermediate goods, durable consumer goods, and capital goods," it noted.

On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 3.9% in November, marking the second consecutive month of decline.
