ISTANBUL (AA) - Germany's import prices saw a year-on-year decline of 1.7% in April, official figures from Destatis showed on Friday.

The year-on-year rate of change was minus 3.6% in March 2024, and minus 4.9% in February 2024, it recalled.

Meanwhile, on a monthly basis, import prices in April rose by 0.7%.

On the other hand, export prices were 0.2% lower in April on a yearly basis.

The federal statistical authority said the decline in import prices was mainly due to lower prices for intermediate goods and energy.
