ISTANBUL (AA) – Germany's import prices were 23.5% higher in October versus the same month last year, official figures revealed on Friday.
According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), changes were 29.8% in September and 32.7% in August.
On a monthly basis, the import prices dropped 1.2% in October.
The country's export prices increased 13.1% on a yearly basis in October, while they decreased 1.2% over the same period.
Price increases were caused by higher energy prices particularly, according to Destatis.
