ANKARA (AA) – Germany’s industrial output fell for the third consecutive month in July, down 0.8% from a month earlier, according to official data released on Thursday.
The figure followed a downwardly revised 1.4% monthly decline in June, German statistical authority Destatis said in a statement.
The production of capital goods plunged 2.9% month-on-month in July, consumer goods fell 1%, and intermediate goods were down 0.7%.
Energy and construction production grew 2.2% and 2.6%, respectively, during the same period.
On an annual basis, Germany's industrial production dove 2.1% in July.
