ISTANBUL (AA) - Germany's industrial production dropped 4.1% annually in June, the federal statistical authority Destatis announced on Wednesday.
The country’s industrial production has generally been in a downward trend since June 2023 annually.
Negative development in industrial production was mainly driven by the decline in the food sector.
The decline in consumer goods production also affected the overall performance.
On the other hand, on a monthly basis, industrial production increased by 1.4% in June 2024 compared to May 2024.
Moreover, production in energy-intensive industrial branches increased by 1.4% in June 2024 from May 2024, compared with June 2023, which was up 3.8% in June 2024.
