ANKARA (AA) - Hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, global air travel is projected to bounce back in 2024, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on Tuesday.
The number of air travelers is expected to reach 4 billion in 2024, exceeding pre-virus levels with a figure equal to 103% that in 2019, the IATA said in a statement.
It added that air travel is expected to reach 83% of 2019 levels this year and 93% next year.
