ATHENS (AA) - Greece and India conducted an air exercise, according to a statement Wednesday.
Joint training of two Greek F-4E aircraft with Mirage 2000 aircraft of the Indian Air Force was conducted March 27 as part of the repositioning of an echelon of the Indian Air Force (IA) at the Andravida Air Base in southwestern Greece for refueling, Greece’s National Defense General Staff in a statement.
Various tasks including air defense interception, low-sea flight and virtual attacks on surface targets were carried out, which contributed to the level of operational readiness and combat capability of the militaries, it noted.
The statement said India will for the first time participate in multinational INOCHOS air exercises April 24 - May 5 with Russian-made Su-30 aircraft.
