ANKARA (AA) - Greece booked their place in the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 quarterfinals with a 94-88 win against the Czech Republic on Sunday.
Greek superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to be the key player for his team's victory in a Round of 16 game held at Berlin's Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Playmaker Nick Calathes racked up 14 points for Greece and Ioannis Papapetrou added 13 points.
Another Greek guard, Kostas Sloukas, bagged 10 points.
Jan Vesely led the Czech Republic with 21 points, and his teammate Vojtech Hruban had 17 points.
Ondrej Balvin and Patrik Auda scored 12 points each.
Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky scored three points but produced 17 assists in the game against Greece.
Greece will play against Germany in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
