ATHENS (AA) - People in Greece have the least trust in the country's media, political parties, and trade unions, a survey showed on Monday.
The Greek Statistical Body (ELSTAT) released the findings of the nationwide survey by pollster Kapa Research, indicating that only 12% of respondents said they trust the media either very much or at least "enough" among a list of several different state institutions.
Likewise, only 12% said they trusted trade unions for "the progress and prosperity of our country," while political parties had the trust of just 17%
On the other hand, 71% of respondents said they trusted the country’s armed forces the most, followed by the national police force with 49% and ELSTAT with 47%, respectively.
The survey also exposed that only 38% considered the Church of Greece, the official church of the predominantly Orthodox country, trustworthy.
