ANKARA (AA) - The Memphis Grizzlies eliminated the Minnesota Timberwolves by defeating 114-106 in Game 6 and advanced to NBA Western conference semifinals on Friday.
Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane rallied Grizzlies to victory with 23 points each, while Ja Morant contributed with 11 assists at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
"We stick together, stay on the same page, and I think it really showed on the big stage this series," said Bane about the victory.
"Physically, mentally, this series was a battle," Morant said, adding: "Obviously, the wins were pretty ugly outside of Game 2, but we got it done."
Anthony Edwards became the top scorer of the Timberwolves with 30 points but could not save his team from defeat.
The Golden State Warriors will play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday while the Phoenix Suns will take on the Dallas Mavericks on Monday in the Western Conference semifinals.
In the Eastern Conference semifinals, the reigning champions the Milwaukee Bucks will take on the Boston Celtics on Sunday, while the Miami Heat will play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.

The Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid suffers from a right orbital fracture, the Sixers announced on Saturday.
The statement added that Embiid will be listed out at Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Miami Heat on Monday and further updates would be provided.
Embiid was injured with Pascal Siakam's contact in Philadelphia’s victory at Toronto on Thursday.
