DAKAR, Senegal (AA) - Mamady Doumbouya, the president of the interim Guinean government, dissolved the government late Monday.
A statement read out by Presidential Secretary Amara Camara on state television announced that the government led by Prime Minister Bernard Goumou was dissolved by presidential decree and that a new one would be appointed.
No explanation was provided for the termination.
Lt. Col. Doumbouya seized power in a September 2021 coup by overthrowing President Alpha Conde.
