Gunshots heard near Gendarmerie camp in Mali capital

Gunfire continued for at least 3 hours in Bamako

BAMAKO, Mali (AA) - Gunshots were heard near a Gendarmerie camp in Mali's capital early Tuesday.

Witnesses said the gunfire began at around 5.30 a.m. (0530GMT) near the camp at Faladie in Bamako.

The Western African country is currently ruled by a military administration.
