ISTANBUL (AA) - Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick as Manchester City toppled Nottingham Forest 6-0 on Wednesday in the fifth week of the English Premier League.
Playing at Etihad Stadium, the Norwegian striker scored in the 12th, 23rd and 38th minutes with the first half ending 3-0.
Portuguese defender Joao Cancelo produced another goal for the home side in the 50th minute, while Argentine striker Julian Alvarez scored in the 65th and 87th minutes.
Haaland moved his tally for this season to nine goals in five matches.
He paid special tribute to his teammates after the huge home victory.
"Amazing. Nothing more to say," he said.
"It’s fantastic. That’s why I came here. We play so good, we find each other, and it will become even better. It's important to keep going because there are going to be a lot of games."

In another Premier League match Wednesday, Arsenal beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Emirates Stadium to win all its league matches so far.
The Gunners broke the deadlock with Gabriel Jesus and their other goal came from Gabriel Martinelli in the 77th minute.
Douglas Luiz scored the only goal for Aston Villa in the 74th minute.
Arsenal are in first place with 15 points and Manchester City are in second spot after collecting 13 points.
Also, Liverpool claimed a 2-1 victory against Newcastle United at Anfield Stadium.
Alexander Isak scored the opening goal for Newcastle in the 38th minute while Roberto Firmino leveled the match in the 61st minute.
Fabio Carvalho scored a stoppage-time goal in the 98th minute and the match ended 2-1 in favor of the Reds.
With this result, Liverpool jumped to fifth spot with eight points.
