England captain Harry Kane scored a hat trick Saturday to lead Bayern Munich to a 4-0 win against Stuttgart in a German Bundesliga match.
The match at Munich's Allianz Arena was scoreless until Kane drew first blood in the 57th minute. The 31-year-old forward scored outside the box to give the lead to Bayern Munich.
Three minutes later, Kane was surrounded by Stuttgart defenders in the penalty area but managed to score a solo-effort goal to double the lead.
In minute 80, Kane was unmarked in the penalty area and completed his hat trick from close range.
French winger Kingsley Coman added a fourth goal near the end of the match by firing into the far corner of the Stuttgart net.
Bayern Munich increased their points to 17 in seven matches to top the Bundesliga standings on goal average. They scored 24 goals but conceded seven.
Second-place RB Leipzig won 2-0 at Mainz on Saturday and are in the second spot with 17 points.
This season in the Bundesliga, Leipzig scored 11 goals but conceded two.
Defending German champions, Bayer Leverkusen, moved to the fourth spot with a 2-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt at their home BayArena.
Egypt star Omar Marmoush scored a first-half penalty for Eintracht Frankfurt.
But Leverkusen scored two unanswered goals from German midfielder Robert Andrich and Nigerian star Victor Boniface.
Boniface missed an early penalty while the game was knotted at 0.
Leverkusen have 14 points and is chasing third-place Freiburg, which are on 15 points.
Freiburg beat Augsburg 3-1 at home.
Eintracht Frankfurt are now in fifth place in the standings with 13 points.
