BEIRUT (AA) – A Hezbollah fighter was killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, according to the Israeli army.
A military statement said the attack targeted the Hezbollah member in town of Tallouseh after rocket fire into Galilee Panhandle in northern Israel.
Hezbollah confirmed that one of its members was killed in an Israeli attack, without providing any details.
At least 377 Hezbollah members have been killed in cross-border clashes with Israel since Oct. 8, 2024, according to an Anadolu tally.
Fears have grown about a full-fledged war between Israel and Hezbollah amid an exchange of almost daily attacks.
The escalation comes against the backdrop of a deadly Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 39,100 people since Oct. 7 last year following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
