BEIRUT (AA) - The Lebanese Hezbollah group on Friday announced the deaths of seven more of its fighters in clashes with Israeli forces along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

In a statement, Hezbollah released the names of the fallen fighters, stating they were killed "on the road to Jerusalem," a phrase symbolizing their solidarity and support for Hamas in its conflict with Israel in Gaza.

The death toll of the Hezbollah fighters killed by the Israeli forces since Oct. 8 rises to 70, according to a previous statement by the group.

On Nov. 3, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah addressed supporters in Lebanon, saying his group would increase military pressure on Israel, but said it would not commit to all-out war.

Tension has flared along the border between Israel and Lebanon amid intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7.

At least 11,078 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women. The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is nearly 1,600, according to official figures.
