BEIRUT (AA) – The Lebanese Hezbollah group said Thursday that it targeted Israeli military sites near the Lebanese border.
In a statement, the group said it targeted a vehicle at the al-Malkiya military site with appropriate weaponry, causing casualties among the soldiers.
In another statement, it said it targeted the Al-Samaqa military site in the occupied hills of Kfar Shuba in southern Lebanon with rockets, achieving a direct hit.
There have been no comments by the Israeli side on Hezbollah's statements.
Earlier, Hezbollah said it carried out five attacks on Israeli soldiers and military sites near the Lebanese border.
Tensions have risen along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv presses ahead with a deadly onslaught against the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 34,900 people since last October following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
