Hezbollah strikes military intelligence facility in northern Israel

Hezbollah says attack in response to Israel’s targeting of journalists

By Anadolu staff

ISTANBUL (AA) - Lebanese group Hezbollah said Tuesday that it had struck a military intelligence facility in northern Israel amid intermittent exchange of fire between the two sides.

In a statement, Hezbollah said it fired two guided missiles at the facility on the outskirts of the Al-Manara settlement, causing casualties among its members.

Hezbollah said the attack was in response to Israel’s targeting of journalists in southern Lebanon.

There was no comment from the Israeli military on the report.

Two journalists working for the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen television were killed early Tuesday in Israeli shelling on the Tayr Harfa area in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army and Hezbollah have been engaged in deadly skirmishes along the border since the Palestinian group Hamas carried out a surprise attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
