BEIRUT (AA) - The Lebanese Hezbollah group said Tuesday it targeted several Israeli military locations along border areas between Lebanon and Israel.
It said in a statement that it struck the Israeli military Al-Marj site with "suitable weaponry," and confirmed a direct hit to equipment.
In a separate statement, the group said it hit an Israeli tank in the Israeli Branit Barracks with guided missiles and inflicted casualties among the crew.
It also said fighters ambushed an Israeli force in the Khazzan Hill area near an Israeli military post.
The Israeli artillery bombed areas near the Lebanese Markaba village with several shells, according to Anadolu.
Border clashes have been the deadliest since Hezbollah and Israel fought a full-scale war in 2006, when the Lebanese group struck major Israeli cities with rockets, causing significant damage.
The border tension comes as Israel widened air and ground operations in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Israeli border towns on Oct. 7.
More than 10,000 people have been killed in the conflict, including 8,525 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis.
