BEIRUT (AA) - The Lebanese group Hezbollah on Tuesday said it struck a gathering of Israeli soldiers taking position in a home in the settlement of Metula in northern Israel.
In a statement cited by the Lebanese official news agency NNA, Hezbollah said it inflicted casualties on the Israeli soldiers.
It added that the operation was in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and in response to the Israeli targeting of Lebanese villages across the border areas.
The Israeli side is yet to comment on Hezbollah’s claim.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army targeted several Lebanese locations with artillery shells in the Aalma El-Chaeb village, the Lebbbouneh village, and the Jabal Al-Alam village, according to the Lebanese agency.
The Israeli army and Hezbollah have been engaged in deadly skirmishes along the border since the Palestinian group Hamas carried out a surprise attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7.
