KARACHI, Pakistan (AA) – Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on Wednesday said that Israel cannot justify the killing of thousands of children in Gaza.
“How many casualties of children shall be needed to appease the anger of Israel,” Kakar asked while addressing a seminar in the capital Islamabad.
Condemning Tel Aviv for its "atrocities" in Gaza, he said: "Dispensation of justice shall be seen."
Pakistan has seen a string of huge pro-Palestine demonstrations since Oct. 7. Islamabad has already sent two batches of humanitarian assistance for the people of Gaza.
The Palestinian death toll from an ongoing Israeli onslaught in the Gaza Strip has surged to 11,320 people.
The victims include 4,650 children and 3,145 women, while 29,200 others are injured.
According to Palestinian officials, 3,600 other people remain unaccounted for, including 1,755 children.
Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
Thousands of buildings, including hospitals, mosques and churches, have been damaged or destroyed in the Israeli offensive.
The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, stands at 1,200, according to official figures.
