ANKARA (AA) — Hundreds of people at Australia's Fremantle port protested an Israeli-based shipping company on Saturday.
Demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags and chanting "Free Palestine" staged the protest against international Israeli shipping line ZIM to prevent workers from loading the ship at the port in Western Australia, public broadcaster ABC News reported.
Protester Grace Brooks said the demonstration was peaceful, emphasizing that they would not allow the ship to unload or load cargo.
Police took extensive security measures during the protest.
