Hundreds marched in New Zealand's capital Auckland on Saturday to express solidarity with Palestinians and denounce killing of civilians in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.
Apart from locals, protesters from several other countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and Palestine participated in the march on Queen Street.
Carrying Palestinian flags and holding banners and placards inscribed with anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian slogans, protesters gathered in Aotea before marching on the Queen Street.
Addressing the rally, speakers urged the UN to play a proactive role to stop Israeli bombardment on schools, hospitals and homes.
They accused Tel Aviv of "deliberately" targeting the civilian population in Gaza.
