BOGOTA (AA) - Hundreds in Brazil marched to the US Consulate to protest Israel's attacks on Gaza and in support of Palestine.
Demonstrators holding Palestinian flags gathered in Rio de Janeiro and marched to the US Consulate, where they burned red-painted Israeli and US flags.
A brief scuffle occurred between security forces and protesters when police attempted to arrest some demonstrators
Police intervened with tear gas to disperse demonstrators who sought to get closer to the consulate.
The crowd, chanting slogans in support of Palestine, also expressed opposition to Israel's attacks.
Protesters previously demonstrated Nov. 5 in the nation’s capital of Brasilia, Sao Paulo and Rio against Israel's attacks on Gaza.
