ANKARA (AA) - Iceland moved to UEFA EURO 2020 play-offs on Thursday after beating Romania 2-1 in the play-offs semifinals.
Everton's midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson's two goals secured a win for Iceland while Alexandru Maxim was the only scorer for Romania.
In addition to Iceland, seven more nations, Hungary, Serbia, Georgia, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Slovakia and Scotland also advanced to play-offs.
Four nations will qualify for EURO 2020 while the play-offs will take place on Nov. 12.
