ANKARA (AA) – The Reserve Bank of India on Thursday held its benchmark policy repo rate constant at 6.5% for a second straight meeting, meeting market forecast.
The central bank also left both the standing deposit facility rate and the marginal standing facility unchanged at 6.25% and 6.75, respectively.
In April, the bank paused its rate hike cycle which started in May 2022.
According to latest data, India's annual consumer inflation eased to an 18-month low of 4.7% in April.
