India on Saturday won the T20 cricket World Cup final, defeating South Africa to secure their second world title after 13 years.
India won by 7 runs getting 176/7 in the alloted 20 overs and South Africa finished at 169/8, a heartbreaking defeat for the Proteas who had hoped to win the game played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The Proteas had gone undefeated in their previous eight matches in the tournament reaching their first world cup final.
South African giants had lost all seven of their previous World Cup semi-finals across the T20 and 50-over games.
